The Rain Rain Rain Came Down Down Down

Just over a week after the Isle visit people would find themselves drawn outside. The reason might vary, it was a lovely day and the air had the sweet scent of spring. It was the first truly warm day, and perhaps that was it. But for whatever reason everyone, or nearly everyone, found themselves outside and then drifted peacefully off to sleep.

As they slept a gentle rain came down upon them, soft enough to wake only those in a cursed sleep. The water not only broke dark spells and curses on the people the rain touched but for some people it brought a very different sort of transformation.

A number of the Missrecalled might find themselves awakening older than they had been when they fell asleep. Some of them might awaken with all their older self's memories, or maybe those would come with time, or maybe the memories would need more help to return. But when everyone awoke with a light dew on their faces and clothes, some people would be in for quite the surprise....

After the odd outdoor nap, many might wish to head into their rooms to get changed and freshen up. Or maybe they wouldn't go back to their room for a while, but when they did they would find a gift on their beds waiting for them....

“I wish I knew,” Sephiroth said dryly. “It doesn’t seem to be something that anyone here deliberately did. I gather it’s a side effect of the magic that started pulling everyone from their respective worlds.”

The next few minutes were seriously multilingual, though most of it was clearly altered like the stuff in a language he could understand.

Sephiroth listened, arms folded. Finally he said, “It isn’t the flight either of us want, but it’s the best I can do right now. Do you still want to come?”

Sephiroth held onto her and took flight as best as he could. He flew around the area to see who else was affected by this strange spell and then kept going to fly around the grounds.

She looked down as they flew, wishing she could do this herself. "What do I need to know now that I'm stuck here as an adult?" she asked, eyes taking in everything.

Sephiroth looked amused by the question. “In general, or in Auradon specifically?”

"Start with Auradon, we can work our way out. Who is in charge of enforcing the laws here?"

“They don’t seem to have a dedicated person for that right now,” Sephiroth said. “People seem to go to the King and Queen when they have problems. I myself would like the task of being security or law enforcement, if needed. So far it seems they haven’t had problems that require those occupations.”

But he patrolled unofficially anyway.

"What the actual happiness? What is it with these places and not having law enforcement? I'm a Hawk back home. And they have to have something if the Isle is supposed to be a Gods curst prison."

“I have wondered that about the Isle myself,” Sephiroth remarked. “I’m assuming Yen Sid was there partially to keep order, but then he was badly injured.”

"Injured? Maybe I can help..." She frowned. Marcus had told her to keep what she could do a secret. So had Severn at a different part of their lives. They could both go scream down the river. Emergencies and secrets didn't mesh.

Sephiroth perked up at that. “Do you have healing powers?” He had regretted not being able to help himself, but his powers were more for destruction.

"I'm not supposed to tell anyone about them but yes. If they work here, anyway. On the Isle I don't think they did. But I only tried once."

“Powers don’t work on the Isle, but they should here, at least to some extent,” Sephiroth said.

"Then yes. How badly injured and how quickly can you get me there?" she asked, concerned.

(As a mod note, he was healed enough to be walking on his own once they got back to Aruadon, via Aqua and possibly others)

“He’s walking now, but still not fully recovered,” Sephiroth said. “I should be able to get us there quickly.”

He soon prepared to land again.

"If you are up to more flying, a tour and more information would probably be better." And then she had to find Roxas. And... Leia.

Who was a child. Unless she aged up too...

Sephiroth continued to fly, pointing things out in the areas they were passing. "What would you like to know?"

"What they need for us to keep the laws. What the actual hapinesses they're doing to get us the happinesses home, who I need to know about here."

"I wish I had better answers for you," Sephiroth said. "I know they're trying, but it feels like they aren't having much success. I've tried to look into it myself. Any laws here seem to be common sense laws of trying to get along with others and not making things more difficult than they already are. Not taking more than one's share of food.

"The king and queen are the most important people here. And Mallia, who makes a lot of the food."
