Sephiroth Arrives - Backdated to August 29th

Arrival

There is a flash of light and a man with three blue wings suddenly appears on the campus lawn. Normally he prepares his arrivals to be rather flashy and dramatic, but he ... really hadn’t planned on this arrival at all. He had been minding his own business at the Dark Depths when all of a sudden he was here. And where was here, exactly?

He starts walking, looking for someone to help him understand what on earth just happened.

Main Lobby

Looking over the welcome pamphlet leaves him very confused. Those seen as villains go to something called the Isle of the Lost and those seen as heroes are sent here?

“You there.” Yes, he means you. Whoever you are. “Is this magic that sends people to these places always accurate on where it places them?”

How could it possibly have sent him here? He’s not a hero. Not anymore.

Dorm

He eyes the room warily. The blue he’s fine with. The plaid ... not so much. But of course he can’t be picky, and he won’t be.

He goes in with a sigh, examines the room, and lays down on one of the beds, all three wings hanging off of the mattresses’ edges. That will certainly be an unusual sight for anyone passing by the open doorway.

Will he have the room to himself, he wonders, or does someone else have the other bed in the room?

"Oh, I don't really know. I arrived on the Isle, but some people have been saying that isn't right. I don't really get it, but maybe it isn't very reliable." He shrugged. "Did you do something or something?"

"You could say that. An innocent person suffered because of my actions." Sephiroth had never meant to hurt him, never thought for one minute that such a thing would be the end result of his quest, but it had been. And that could never be taken back.

[rexien]

Sephiroth wasn't the only person who had said something along those lines. It wasn't much clearer to him now either, but it wasn't a good thing. He could tell that much. "What makes them innocent?"

[3wingedangel]

Sephiroth blinked in surprise at such a question. "He was pure and good, only desiring to help and protect others."

What he could no longer see in himself was that those had been his own goals on his quest as well. He had not sought glory or recognition, but the protection of his people. But he had made unwise choices that had led to disaster.

[rexien]

He frowned. "So... You weren't trying to protect or help people..? That's why you were asking if the magic was right?" His questions were not particularly gentle, but it was clear from his tone that he simply didn't know, and had most likely not intended to ask insensitive questions.

That made sense though. 'Good' was protecting people, and 'bad' was terminating people. So he'd gone to the Isle because of what he'd done to Xion, even though he hadn't wanted to.

“… No … I was. But my friend saw my ideas would lead to sorrow and I didn’t listen.”

He did recognize the tone of not knowing.

[rexien]

"Huh..." He frowned, lost in thought for a long moment, before he shook his head. "Well, like I said, I don't really know about all that stuff, but I was on the Isle not that long ago. What does your friend look like? Maybe I saw them there."

[3wingedangel]

Sephiroth really couldn't imagine Zack would be sent there, but he said, "Spiky black hair, blue eyes ... cheerful and happy and always eager to do good."

[rexien]

"No, sorry, didn't see him."

[3wingedangel]

"In this case, it's a relief you didn't," Sephiroth said. "I'm sure he will be sent here if he ever comes."

[rexien]

He nodded. "It's good to be where your friends are."

[3wingedangel]

"Yes," Sephiroth said, sounding far away. He had to wonder if Zack would or could even still think of him as a friend after what had happened.

Coming back to the present, he said, "I won't trouble you longer. Thank you for your time." He wasn't a terribly social person and wasn't one to make small talk.

[rexien]

"Okay." Neither was Roxas, unless he had found a topic that caught his interest enough to ask what some might consider too many questions. ""Um, I'll let you know if I see your friend though."

[3wingedangel]

"Thank you," Sephiroth said. "But perhaps, if you see him ... it would be better not to let him know I'm here. I will tell him that myself."

[rexien]

He nodded. "I won't. But... Why wouldn't you want him to know you're here?"

[3wingedangel]

"He may not want to see me after what happened when I saw him last," Sephiroth said.

[rexien]

He thought of seeing Axel again after their last fight. He hadn't been sure if Axel would still be his best friend, or if they were still fighting. Despite the uncertainty though... He'd still wanted to talk to him again. "What if he does though? If you're friends, you should still try, right?"

[3wingedangel]

"Yes," Sephiroth said. "I would try, if he appeared. It's just that I would rather tell him myself that I'm here instead of him finding out from someone else."

[rexien]

"I see... Okay. I promise I won't say anything if I see him then."

[3wingedangel]

"Thank you," Sephiroth said with a nod. He hoped Zack would come, eventually, and that he would be pulled from after the last timepoint Sephiroth knew. Then he would know Zack was alive, even if Zack wanted nothing to do with him.

He stepped away from the desk. "I believe I'm going to explore the area. Do you have any particular recommendations of things I should see?"

[rexien]

He nodded. "Did you find the cafeteria yet?" Eating regularly was important for Somebodies, he knew that now, so Sephiroth would need to know where to eat, right?

[3wingedangel]

"I haven't yet," Sephiroth said. "Would you be willing to show me?"

[rexien]

"Sure, it's not far from here. This way." He turned and started off, assuming Sephiroth would follow.

[3wingedangel]

Sephiroth did indeed follow, memorizing the pathway as they walked. He wanted to be able to easily find his way there on his own for future trips.

[rexien]

Roxas would easily walk in silence if Sephiroth didn't break it. The trip was relatively short. A few wide hallways full of cheesy decor, until they came to a large set of double doors.
