Sephiroth Arrives - Backdated to August 29th

Arrival

There is a flash of light and a man with three blue wings suddenly appears on the campus lawn. Normally he prepares his arrivals to be rather flashy and dramatic, but he ... really hadn’t planned on this arrival at all. He had been minding his own business at the Dark Depths when all of a sudden he was here. And where was here, exactly?

He starts walking, looking for someone to help him understand what on earth just happened.

Main Lobby

Looking over the welcome pamphlet leaves him very confused. Those seen as villains go to something called the Isle of the Lost and those seen as heroes are sent here?

“You there.” Yes, he means you. Whoever you are. “Is this magic that sends people to these places always accurate on where it places them?”

How could it possibly have sent him here? He’s not a hero. Not anymore.

Dorm

He eyes the room warily. The blue he’s fine with. The plaid ... not so much. But of course he can’t be picky, and he won’t be.

He goes in with a sigh, examines the room, and lays down on one of the beds, all three wings hanging off of the mattresses’ edges. That will certainly be an unusual sight for anyone passing by the open doorway.

Will he have the room to himself, he wonders, or does someone else have the other bed in the room?

“I thought so as well. He is after all a very powerful and wise wizard, so he might have known everything about dream walking,” Harry chimes in, “I don’t normally do this myself at home but I did at one point had terrifying visions of that cloaked man haunting me I had mentioned a while ago. How I got that ability was a very awkward tale to tell and I don’t feel like mentioning about it in depth at this time.”

Sephiroth nods in agreement to the comment on Merlin and then frowns at this information. "That would be terrifying," he agrees. "But that has stopped now?"

“Thankfully it has after he was gone. And I don’t have to worry about him haunting me in my dreams ever again,” he lets out a sigh of relief.

Sephiroth is a cynical sort and wonders about that, but he won't say so. "Good," he replies.

He glances down at the welcome pamphlet, then back to Harry. "Is there anything else you can think of that I should know that isn't covered in here?"

“Good question. I do think that the pamphlet has most of the answers everyone not from this world needs to know. So I don’t know of that many questions that have yet to be added in there right now.”

It then dawns on him that he hasn’t properly introduced himself to Sephiroth even though they have been talking to each other for a while by now. So much so that Hedwig has to hoot at him about it.

“Oh dear, I do apolgise that I haven’t given you my name or those of my animal friends here sooner. My name is Harry Potter, but just Harry will be fine by me. Originally from a place known as the United Kingdom, specifically from the county of Surrey in a country in there called England. The white owl is Hedwig, one of my oldest and closest friend, and the little fluffy pink creature is Rose, she’s my familiar in the Isle of Avalon.”

"It's encouraging to hear it's so efficient," Sephiroth says.

He nods in acknowledgment of the introductions. "I've heard of England," he says. There are worlds in his universe that include England. "My name is Sephiroth. I am from Hollow Bastion. Its true name is Radiant Garden, but many have known it as Hollow Bastion for years. It's only recently reclaimed its original name."

“Well, it is a honour to make your acquaintance, Sephiroth. Even if the circumstances we’re in aren’t the most cheerful or optimistic at the moment,” Harry speaks up, “Hm I see. Hollow Bastion did went back to its original name after being called that for so long. So what was it like living in there if it is alright to ask you that?”

Sephiroth nods in acknowledgement of the greeting.

He pauses, gazing off into the distance as he ponders the answer to that question. "It was ... upsetting, seeing it like that. Maleficent overran the world with creatures called Heartless. They corrupt and devour people's hearts, turning them into Heartless as well."

“Oh dear. I’m very sorry to hear that. It must be very terrible having to deal with her and the Heartless giving people so much grief and trouble that often.”

And there he was, thinking that having to deal with Voldemort’s brief iron grip over Wizarding Britain and being on the run for nearly a year is not a pleasant experience. He doesn’t want to ask about how she was able to get her hands over Hollow Bastion in the first place just as much as he doesn’t want to get too deep into Voldemort’s plans to take over the wizarding world and be immortal right now.

He doesn’t want Sephiroth to become another person that the infamous Dark Lord would go to after right now.

He nods. "Our world was under siege for ten years. It only barely got free of them."

And so much had happened during those years, some of which can never be taken back.

He certainly hopes some Dark Lord won't be next. Maleficent was bad enough.

“That is very similar to what happened back in my home world. It only barely survived a major war that happened in my school and there is plenty of damages and losses everywhere. It is probably safe to say that my world had seen a lot of ugly stuff for some time before I went to Avalon and Auradon.”

That sounds absolutely disastrous. He wonders why a Dark Lord would target a school and assumes it must be a school for learning powerful abilities and magic.

“Yes, it certainly sounds as though it has,” he says. “The people of my world could likely commiserate a great deal with you and the others from your school. A Restoration Committee has been working hard to save my world and bring it back to its former glory.”

“Wow! It is really good to know that there is a committee dedicated to restoring a place or a world back to what it used to look like. Maybe my school could set up something like that so they can fix things up damaged by the conflict and everyone could contribute to repair what has been destroyed and broken.”

"It would be a good idea if they haven't thought of it yet," Sephiroth said. "If it's anything like my world, I'm sure it will need a great deal of work."

He definitely nods in response, he certainly hopes that his professors should go get together and start one once he does come back from this world.

“Okay then. I will definitely relay this information to my professors and the other people I know in my world about starting one soon when I do return to my world someday. Now then since we’re going to be stuck in here for the foreseeable future, perhaps I could show you to the dorm rooms and help you in finding one to stay in. A lot of people who have came here tends to have a room of their own as a number of us are on the smaller size.”

“That would be appreciated. Thank you,” Sephiroth says. He hopes to have a room to himself.

“Okay then, right this way,” Harry leads the way to the mens dorms as Hedwig takes off to fly alongside Harry and Rose hops into his jacket pocket to ride along.

When they arrive at the dorms, Sephiroth might see some marked doors indicated that somebody might have lived in the dorms before whatever magical mishap happened prior to the Missrecalled’s arrivals.

Sephiroth studies the marked doors. "Are these rooms currently occupied?" He would normally think so, but nothing seems to be normal here judging from what happened to him and from what he read in the pamphlet.

“Apparently these rooms were once occupied by the original students of this school. But due to our current situation, nearly everyone in here vanished to who knows where. Perhaps the doors are marked as a reminder that a student of the school was supposed to be living in the room and that they were meant to be reserved for their eventual return,” Harry gives him his interpretation of the marked doors.

Sephiroth nods slowly. "With the way people are appearing and disappearing so frequently, perhaps they'll even show up again at any given time. Are there any rooms without the signage?" He would prefer to occupy a room that would be unlikely to suddenly have a returning occupant.

“Thankfully there are plenty of other rooms that haven’t been taken by previous students or the other people living in this campus. There is one not far from here that you might be interested,” Harry tells him.

Sephiroth nods in gratitude. "That would be preferable. Thank you."

“Right this way,” he takes him to an unmarked door a few steps away from the marked door they had visited.

Plain, unadorned with any marks to indicated that somebody had been staying in there.

“I just want you to have a heads up, many of these rooms look like they have been occupied for some time before the events leading to our arrival happened. You might see some things like clothes in wardrobes and video game consoles just to name a few.”

Sephiroth nodded. "I see." He went inside and started checking in the drawers and behind the closet door in case this room featured such signs of being lived-in despite the lack of nameplate. "Well, let's just hope no one shows up to claim this room. If it was theirs and now isn't through no fault of their own, they would be entitled to it upon their return."

“I thought so as well. I also noticed that my room had been empty of its occupants for some time when I first arrived here. Found some stuff in the side table drawers and the wardrobe and on the desk, but I have no idea as to who may have owned it,” Harry nods in agreement.
