The Rain Rain Rain Came Down Down Down

Just over a week after the Isle visit people would find themselves drawn outside. The reason might vary, it was a lovely day and the air had the sweet scent of spring. It was the first truly warm day, and perhaps that was it. But for whatever reason everyone, or nearly everyone, found themselves outside and then drifted peacefully off to sleep.

As they slept a gentle rain came down upon them, soft enough to wake only those in a cursed sleep. The water not only broke dark spells and curses on the people the rain touched but for some people it brought a very different sort of transformation.

A number of the Missrecalled might find themselves awakening older than they had been when they fell asleep. Some of them might awaken with all their older self's memories, or maybe those would come with time, or maybe the memories would need more help to return. But when everyone awoke with a light dew on their faces and clothes, some people would be in for quite the surprise....

After the odd outdoor nap, many might wish to head into their rooms to get changed and freshen up. Or maybe they wouldn't go back to their room for a while, but when they did they would find a gift on their beds waiting for them....

“I have trained some with Aqua, yes,” Sephiroth said. “I enjoy it.”

He smirked in amusement. “We’ll plan on it for the afternoon then. Or evening.”

"And I'll leave the physical training to those of physical nature," Mallia said, smiling a little more. "Please, let me know if anything here needs attending to. That includes you as well, little one." That was to Hope, and it was rather obvious.

Kaylin nodded, first to him then to her.

Hope smirked and squawked unintelligibly. Kayin closed hand over his jaw. "I actually need my hearing you know."

He made a muffled protest and smacked hr face with his wing.

Sephiroth nodded. "Thank you."

He reached for his plate of food, deciding it was safe now to eat.

She pushed back to her feet, embarrassed, getting her plate as well.

...And with that, Mallia headed back to her table off in the corner, to go re-bury herself in whatever it was she was working on....

Sephiroth hoped to get her mind on something else so she wouldn’t feel so embarrassed.

“Do you want to start training today?”

As opposed to tomorrow.

"After food," she said with a firm nod. Her stomach agreed loudly. "And you can teach me some height based attacks. I could always use more of those."

"You won't get indigestion to train right after eating?"

[kaylinneya]

She shrugged. "Maybe, but if I don't eat now I may not hold up through training. I was apparently a child last time I ate," she said, dryly.

"We can start an hour or so after eating." Sephiroth didn't want to get indigestion himself.

She rolled her eyes. "Fine," she said, huffing a bit.

Sephiroth continued to calmly eat, relieved for the relative peace at the moment. The wings were involuntarily twitching at times.

She kept watching them as she ate. And ate. And ate. Hope just chewed on her hair, even when she got up to get seconds. And thirds.

Sephiroth was amused. Zack had enjoyed such big meals as well. He wondered if she normally ate so much or if it was just because of suddenly aging up. But it would seem tactless to ask, and he didn't want to cause her to stop eating if she was still hungry.

He set his plate aside and folded his arms.

She saw him finish and hurried to bolt down the rest of her food. Then sh noticed something by the food table. "Spit," she muttered. She got up and retrieved her bracer. She put it back on and closed it. It had no visible hinge. Closed anyway.

"So I have to keep myself busy till you're ready, right?"

"You could say that," he agreed.

"That is an intriguing bracelet."

[kaylinneya]

She shrugged. "I'm... not really supposed to talk about it."

[3wingedangel]

"Then we won't," he said with a respectful nod.

[kaylinneya]

She nodded. "Right. So... meet you back here in an hour?"

[3wingedangel]

"Yes," Sephiroth agreed. "I will see you then."

[kaylinneya]

Kaylin nodded and headed back to the room that was assigned to her. She might as well get her yelling at Hope out of her system in private.

An hour later, she still looked annoyed, but she came back. Her hair had clearly been taken down and repinned, and she was scowling. "The mirrors here don't work." She hadn't really expected to be able to contact Helen through the Mirror network, but in the last weird place she'd been dumped she'd been able to contact Leia through the mirror Tiamaris had loaned her.

Which remained one of the most terrifying things to happen to her in her adult life.

Sephiroth quirked an eyebrow. "You can't see your reflection in them?"

[kaylinneya]

"No, that part works," she grumbled. "But I couldn't get it to connect to the mirror network."

[3wingedangel]

"What is the mirror network?" It sounded intriguing. He had certainly heard of mirrors as portals to other dimensions, although he wasn't sure if that was always just a fable or not.
