I wish, my wish
The snow had finally been cleared from the room, the window fixed. And the snow outside was slowly following suit. It was still almost painfully cold outside, but the snow was no longer actively falling, and the more adventurous could find ways outside through upper floor windows. There was no way to get to the shore or anything, but there were odd glittering things in the perfect fairytale snow. The first time someone would touch one, it would grow brighter and brighter until the light exploded outward. The shards of light flew into the school mostly, but some went elsewhere, over and past the tangles of stuff.
When the light resolved, it and the other glittering things - both in the snow and now in the school - would prove to be small magic lamps. Each would have the name of one of the Missrecalled currently in Auradon, and a colour scheme that suits that person. It might be the one who picked it up, or someone else. When the person for whom the tiny jewelry sized lamp was for holds the lamp and makes a wish, that wish might come true. For a short time.
The wishes would only last the weekend, but What a glorious and bittersweet weekend that would be.
Aqua | OTA | Guest staring some NPCs
Date: 2024-10-14 02:39 pm (UTC)Still, she recognized what she was sure it was meant to be, and she saw no harm in indulging in a bit of fantasy. It wasn't like she didn't know what she would wish for. But as she rubbed it and no actually genie emerged, she figured it really was just decorative. So she let herself make her wish.
The wish.
the one she'd wished at least a dozen times a day, every day, for years now.
"Terra... Ven... I wish you were here with me..." she whispered.
Her eyes were closed, face tilted upwards. A tear ran down her face. And then the air exploded out of her as she was hugged breathless.
"Terra? Ven?!" Here? Both of them at once? She hugged them tightly in return. "Terra. Ven." Not her Terra and Ven, she was sure, but still. It was so good to be with them. It was like being home.
"Aqua! AQUA!" Ven cried, clinging. "We thought we'd never see you again! We came out of the tunnel and the Isle was all closed up and..."
Aqua cut him off. "The Island was... Ven... Terra... you went through the time tunnel? With the other students? Both of you?" she asked, to be sure.
Terra nodded. "You were supposed to come with us, you know. We were getting everyone settled and were about to come looking for you," he began.
"And then suddenly we were here!" Ven said.
She held them even tighter as she cried into Terra's shoulder. Her Terra. Her Ven. Here. finally with her.
The three sunk to the ground together and gave themselves a needed moment to hold each other and cry.
Spark/Gar | OTA | Guest Starring CRAU Adrien - I got permission!
Date: 2024-10-14 02:54 pm (UTC)Gar was so glad to be able to go outside finally. Even if it was cold enough that any fish he found would count as frozen food. He bundled up in his new cowtfit and headed out. He planned to try to find water, any water. Just so he'd know where it was.
Something shiny and orange caught his eye. He picked it up, a small magic lamp looking thing with the name SPARK on it.
Oh this was too good to be true. He queued up a bunch of puns to make at whatever genie came out, and rubbed the lamp. But nothing happened.
Gar sighed and resumed walking, holding it in his palm. Just as well, he would have wasted the wish on puns when he knew what he really wanted. More than anything. "If only this stupid lamp were real.... I wish it would bring Adrien here..." He missed Adrien so much. He...
Was hallucinating, clearly.
"G...Gar?"
Hallucihearing too.
"Adrien...?"
"Where... Where are we this time?" He started to ask more then looked down at his hand. Saw his ring, closed his hand around it relieved.
Gar tackle-hugged Adrien, knocking them both into the snow. "I have SO MUCH TO TELL YOU!!!!" he said, half laughing and half crying.
Adrian laughed too. "Okay but maybe inside? Somewhere warm?" He wasn't exactly dressed for the snow.
Gar nodded and got up, and helped Adrien up. "Yeah. Inside."
Adrian stood with help brushed snow off himself, then stopped and stared at Gar's outfit. "You... outdid yourself this time."
"It wasn't me, this was a gift! Okay the nose ring and bell are me, but the rest..." he gestured at his cow themed outfit with its cow pun on the hoodie. "Wait till you meet Mallia, she made it for me, she's very amoozing!"
Adrian laughed. "Alright then, let's go inside and meet her, and you can fill me in."
"Yeah! Just... one person you should meet first...."
Locked to Gabriel
Gar hunted around and found Gabriel after filling in Adrien. Adrien had used Bending to make a plush of Spark to hold onto.
After spotting the room Gabriel was in, thankfully alone, he glanced back at Adrien then walked into the room. "Um... Got a minute...?" he asked, while Adrien waited in the hall.

Date: 2024-11-07 06:12 am (UTC)Adrien took a deep breath then met Gabriel's eyes with level ones of his own. He was no longer the Adrien of Paris. Or rather, not just as he had been then. This Adrien had spent time with the Doctor - several of him - and Rose. He had broken a few times and built himself back into a stronger person. One who no longer cowered when his father glowered. One with confidence in himself to a degree he hadn't had in Paris.
Still, he was polite, and he was as nervous as Gar though he showed it less.
"Garfield says you're like another reality's version of our father, and that you have no memories of the living city. Is... Is that actually correct?"

Date: 2024-11-07 06:20 am (UTC)"And you're clearly Adrien, but just as clearly not the one I know. You're wearing a good deal less eyeliner, for one thing." The last sentence had a note of wry amusement.

From:Harry Potter | OTA
Date: 2024-10-17 07:24 am (UTC)Picking up the lamp, he looks at its intricate decorations and he could see that his name is written on it. Soon enough he tries to rub on it, wondering if there is a genie living inside to grant any wishes he might have. But no genie did show up. Hoping that he didn’t do anything wrong, he tries rubbing it again but nothing happened again.
After the third attempt, he finally gives up on the idea of seeing a genie, closes his eyes with tears running down his face, and begins to mutter a wish: a wish that has been kept close to his heart for three long years and one that would, unbeknownst to him, eventually come through on this very moment no matter how soft he spoke.
“I wish, I wish… I just wish that Ron and Hermione would be here right now.”
For a moment, there was not a single sound made in this room but the next thing he knows, he finds himself getting hugged twice. When he opens his eyes again, he is greeted by the ghostly sight of a young lady with brown frizzy hair and a ginger-haired man who look so happy to see him.
“Huh?!? Ron, Hermione?” he is literally surprised to see his two oldest and best of friends (or the ghostly visions of them) in Auradon as he reciprocates the hugs back and tries to fight back the tears.
“Harry! Oh thank Merlin that you’re okay, we got so worried waiting for you to come back home for a long time,” Hermione tells him.
“Long? It is only two years since I was taken away from our world.”
“Well, two years can feel like a long time though. But either way, we’re all here together, Harry. That’s worth saying much.”

Date: 2024-10-17 11:37 pm (UTC)"Seriously? A magic lamp? In this day and age? Does anyone here have any respect for my intelligence?" She scoffed quite loudly - it'd be pretty hard to ignore if someone was nearby. "As if. Why don't you just have a gigantic sign saying TRAP and point it right at me?"
She might need some convincing to make a wish...

"You don't get it
you've never had to fret it!
My leash has been held for far too long
Chained my music abused my song!
And all for what, what was the dish?
A magic egg to grant a single wish!
I worked harder than anyone could ever know
I was brought so high but kept so low
All to find the embryo.
You want to know about a heart breaker?
Mine job was a soul taker!
Broke their eggs because they weren't needed
You think my cries were ever headed?
And the carrot and the lash they used to keep me in line
Was his heart and the promise it would be mine.
So yes, I accepted the wish of the lamp
To bring the only one I love to this contested camp.
And now he's gone and instead of aid
All you do is bark about being to cowardly for a wish you never made.
So do what you want, I don't care.
Don't know why I was stupid enough to expect a friend that would care!"
She was breathing hard after the rage of the song, and somehow didn't seem to have noticed the violin music that had started playing behind her singing. It stopped just after she did, with the slightest rustle of tree branches.

Date: 2024-10-19 05:20 am (UTC)He’d found it lying in a hallway on one of his walks and snapped a pic of it. A sunbeam coming in a nearby window hit the metal just so and made it almost seem to glitter. He checked the shot and then picked up the little thing. He examined it, confused and a bit unsettled. Yeah. Weird. He rubbed a thumb over the letters of his name. It seemed harmless enough though.
He shook his head and slipped it into the pocket of his new jacket. Maybe somebody had meant it for him and misplaced it in all the holiday chaos. He’d ask around. He scrolled back through the pictures on his camera. There were shots of random objects around the school, like the little lamp, of the scenery. There were lots he’d taken of the frost in the tree branches and the sun glinting off the snow. Even a few candid shots of people he’d met here. He took them mostly out of habit, and as a way to relax. He’d be lying if he said they weren’t also just a bit to show the guys whenever he finally managed to get back.
He chewed at his lip and kept scrolling, far enough back to find his pictures of Leide, of sabertusks and most importantly, of the guys. He paused, thumb hovering over the keypad, at a shot from camp. It was one taken from before the chaos of the last week or so he’d still been on Eos. In the forefront of the picture were Noct and Gladio. The bigger man was grinning, holding what Prompto was pretty sure was Noct’s phone high above his head with one hand, the other pulling on the prince’s collar. For his part, Noct looked miffed. He didn’t have the room to get off the ground, and was tugging at Gladio’s grip with one hand as the other pressed into Gladio’s cheek. Prompto had managed to just catch Ignis in the back, mid eye roll from his place at the camp stove.
He stared a bit too long, letting the Missing fill his chest and crush his lungs, his heart. Being apart from his friends- his flock- it hurt like being separated from his own limb. The phantom pain kept him awake some nights. The not knowing when he’d see them again. If he’d see them again. If they’d be the same, or if he would. How much time might have passed for either of them? It was a selfish thought, but sometimes he wished they were at least here with him, so he wouldn’t have to be alone. He knew he didn’t deserve such a selfish desire. His make believe human life was always going to end, it might as well be like this. They’d wonder what happened to him for a while, and then move on. It was honestly better this way. Still… he’d give anything to see them again.
“Prom?” He whirled at the familiar voice, eyes wide and hope a bloody wound in his chest. It couldn’t be. But standing just down the hall were three familiar figures. He didn’t have time to wonder before he found himself cocooned in dark feathers. Noct’s arms a sturdy pressure around his shoulders. He pressed himself into the hug, every part of him relaxing. Safe. He sighed out the first full breath he’d taken in what seemed like forever.
Eventually he managed to pull himself away. Not breaking contact, but enough to breathe. Gladio’s hand landed firm on his shoulder, and he could see Ignis hovering just behind Noct. There was something off about the three of them. They certainly felt real, but their forms didn’t look totally solid.
“You had us worried Blondie.” Gladio shifted, ruffling Prompto’s hair.
“The next time you decide to run off, do give us a word or warning, would you?” Ignis smiled over Noct’s shoulder, though Prompto had enough practice reading the advisor to catch the tension around his eyes and held in his wings. He was already worrying about where they were, how they’d gotten there, if Noct would be safe.
“Seriously dude, I thought you were dead.” Noct punched his shoulder weakly, wings fluttering unhappily.
Prompto dropped his head. “Sorry, really, I didn’t mean to.”
“Hey,” Gladio chided.
Ignis sighed. “We’re just glad you’re alright.”
Prompto smiled, a bit wobbly. “I missed you guys.”
“Yeah, I had no one to crush on King’s Knight.” Noct slung an arm around Prompto’s shoulders, his wings still hovering over them both, protective. “We should play a few rounds, but first, food. I’m starved.”
Prompto grinned and dug an elbow into Noct’s ribs. “Can’t believe that’s all I’m good for. C’mon, I’ll show you guys the cafeteria. This place is huge.”
“Not as big as the Citadel I’d bet.” Gladio called.
“I’d imagine not.” Ignis pushed his glasses up his nose, and they all pointedly didn’t mention the current state of the crown city. He cleared his throat. "There are a couple things I'd like to know about this place though, if you wouldn't mind Prompto."
He nodded. "'Course, Iggy." They didn’t mention a lot of things as they began the trek through the halls, but that was okay. Prompto was glad just to have the guys around again, even if something did feel a bit off about them. They looked and felt and sounded like his friends, and for now that was enough for him.

Date: 2024-10-19 08:11 am (UTC)Her face broke out into a bright smile. "Noctus! Gladio! It's wonderful to see you both again!" Then she registered the wings. Not her versions then. But probably Prompto's. She was so happy for him. "I know another reality version of the both of you. I am Aqua, and these are my brothers, Terra and Ven."

Date: 2024-10-20 02:22 am (UTC)Prompto laid a hand on both their arms. "Guys, Master Aqua's one of the people stuck here I was telling you about. She's super nice. Terra, Ven, these are my friends Gladio, Ignis, and Noctis." He gestured to each of them in turn.
Gladio stepped back at Prompto's signal, but he still huffed out a gruff correction. "That's Prince Noctis to you three."
"A pleasure to meet you." Ignis cut in. "Highness..?"
Noct shifted at Prompto's side, taking his arm from around Prompto's shoulders, though his wings stayed perked, curving subtly into Prompto's space. "Yeah, uh, nice to meet you."

Date: 2024-10-21 07:02 pm (UTC)"That sounds agreeable." Ignis nodded, taking the lead as he often did in bigger groups. Prompto was glad to let him. "Noct-"
"Yeah, yeah, winter gear, I got it." Noct was already reaching into the armiger, pulling out a warmer jacket, gloves, and scarves for the four of them.
"Lead the way." This was Gladio.
Prompto had stopped paying attention though. Noct was here. He could use the armiger again. He reached for his phone, and was more than a little bit glad to feel the familiar tingle of Noct's magic, followed by the weight of his own phone in his palm. He slipped it into his back pocket and shot a grin at Noct. "Dude, you are so on for King's Knight later."

From:Nadeshiko AND Nagihiko | Shugo Chara | OTA
Date: 2024-10-21 07:58 am (UTC)Split Wish - Locked to Gabriel
Thankfully Nagihiko had waited until he was in his dorm room before he made his wish. He had found the lamp in the hall and had gone back to his dorm room to take a better look at it. Which is where and when he saw the name on it. "Fujisaki Nadeshiko"
Pain then as he closed his hand around it, eyes watering. "Nadeshiko Nadeshiko. Everyone likes her better. I don't want to... to vanish..." he whispered to himself. "Why... why can't she... I wish she was just her own person so I could just be me!" he sobbed.
"Um.... What... just happened here, if you don't mind?" a very familiar feminine voice said. It sounded so weird not coming from within himself.
Nagihiko looked up shocked. And for the first time ever outside of dreams... the twins looked each other in the eye without need for a reflective surface. "Y...you..."
"Me..." Nadeshiko agreed, looking down at herself. She was in her school uniform, and he was in his. "This shouldn't be possible..."
"It... I... wha...." Nagihiko stammered.
Nadeshiko sighed. "This is why I am the one people like better, you know. You need to grow up out of this shell you hide in and learn to actually talk to people properly." And before he could respond she said, "Amu-chan doesn't count." Then she sighed. "Still, we could use some help with this. Temari..."
Temari popped out of her egg, as did Rhythm. The two Charas looked back and forth between the twins. Then Temari started happily dancing on the air over their heads.
Nadeshiko reached up and gently cupped the small chara, bringing her down. "Can you please go get Agreste-san? I think we could use his help."
Temari nodded and took off like a shot as soon as Nadeshiko opened the door a crack for her. The small chara flew through the halls until she found Gabriel. She flew right up to his face. "If it wouldn't be too much of a hassle, could you please kindly come with me, sir?" she asked, demurely.
Later - OTA
After having gotten some advice from Gabriel - and a second lamp - the twins decided it was time for people to see them together. And see why they were never seen together. Well if one excused the reality of why and accepted their offered one instead.
They were very publicly having an argument in a classroom off one of the most used halls, with the door open. Between them was a very confused looking pink haired girl who was trying to calm them both down.
"It was my wish! That's why!" Nagihiko was yelling. Actually yelling. The boy who usually spoke so softly it was hard to hear him.
"So what?" Nadeshiko asked, voice sounding normal, but pitched to carry all the same. "It's the same wish you would have made, isn't it? Or are you going to tell Amu-chan that wishing for her to be here was a mistake?"
"No! Of.. of course not!" Nagihiko protested. "Of course that was going to be my wish!"
"Then there is no problem," Nadeshiko said, sounding like she was being perfectly reasonable. "Oh..." she said, as if something had just dawned on her. "Unless you're upset because you wanted to be the one to wish her here specifically?"
Nagihiko flushed, The pink haired girl's eyes went wide. Then before she could reply a window into the classroom opened. a blue haired boy slid inside. He smirked at them, grabbed the pink haired girl around the middle, and then rushed out the window again, carrying her.
Nadeshiko gave chase towards the window, Nagihiko raced out the classroom door to go around the outside. Maybe someone wants to help...?

From:Utau Hoshina | Shugo Chara | OTA | CW: inappropriate one sided relationship
Date: 2024-10-21 08:15 am (UTC)An Unwise Wish (CW for very unhealthy relationship)
Utau had found the small lamp and thought it would make a good earring. She picked it up and brushed any dirt off of it that might be there and then... realized it had her name. And then she realized why the shape was so familiar. She knew these stories. And she knew what one did with a magic lamp.
She held it in her hands and closed her eyes. "I wish.." she took a deep breath to make sure she phrased it correctly. "I wish Ikuto was here and free..." she said, finally.
She opened her eyes in time to see a tall, slender, young man appear. "IKUTO!" she screamed, delighted. She launched herself at him. He dodged. Again and again and again.
"Ikuto... you're free! I got the wish! I wished you free! You don't have to do what they say anymore, what anyone says! You can do what you want now!" she said, from where she landed on the ground.
For those who could see the charas, they'd see his little chara hovering by his shoulder, and they'd see him gain cat ears and a cat tail. "I can do what I want now?" he asked, almost purring.
"Yes!" she said, overjoyed.
"Got it," he said, and then he... walked away.
"IKUTO!" she cried, scrambling to get up.
He found a window, opened it and hopped onto the ledge. "Utau... Thanks," he said, before dropping out of the window and into the snow below it. He bounded up a tree and was gone before she got to the window.
Stray Cat Strut - Ikuto on his own, OTA
Having been wished here by Utau, Ikuto had wasted no time in escaping. He had prowled around the limited cleared areas, had gone to the beach and back, and now he was sitting in a tree, watching everyone pass by him. Utau had gone past him a while ago, looking for him. He smirked, but hadn't let her know where he was.
He wanted answers, and he knew he wouldn't get what he wanted from her. And he couldn't and wouldn't, give Utau what she wanted from him.
If he had had three wishes, now that they were both free, his second wish would have been for Utau to fixate all her love and romance on someone else. Someone who wouldn't hurt her, who would understand and who could love her back - that way. He couldn't. He understood why it was wrong, how she had gotten her idea of romance so twisted. But he wasn't the one to fix it.
And besides, there was a pink haired reason that his heart was already stolen. Not that he ever encouraged Utau before that. But he was honest enough with himself - where no one else could hear him - to know that as much as he loved Utau... his first wish would have involved Amu. Utau second. Himself third.
A Desperate Hunt - Utau on her own
Utau was hunting everywhere she could think of for Ikuto. Somewhat desperately. For once she didn't seem to care about looking cool and aloof. She seemed... desperate.
