Mallia was quiet, her arms up and not quite folded as she covered part of her face with a hand, still trying to keep her expression neutral. Her friend didn't say anything for a long few seconds, glancing to Harry briefly, and then between him and Mallia. "It's times like this, I'd ordinarily be taking this sort of folly as an invitation to arrange for someone to wear clothing that isn't there and show their arrogance to everyone."
The fairy shook her head, finally laughing a little again. "Oh, mercy...."
He sighed, turning to look once more to Kyoko. He barely gestured, and his outfit changed, from those softer, earthier hues to near gem colors, whites that shimmered as they sparkled over deep greens and blues. His new robes were nothing if not regal, draping down gracefully over his frame. His hair, previously held back in a low little ponytail, chin-length bangs kept at bay by his ears, now trailed down to his waist, fine braids interrupting the silken length here and there. His face hadn't changed, under the circlet he now wore... but it was stunning, the difference a change in dress and a shift in attitude could make.
Quickly, not giving her a chance to protest any of it: "As one of the oldest members of my entire species and king of all fae, I hereby declare that from now on, your name is Pomme, as you've exhibited all the wit, wisdom, and sense of one. I also henceforth officially disown and disinherit this Corn pretender for the crime of not bringing me in on this obvious joke already. I'd swear he was trying to get you eaten by a dragon, honestly... So if you find him, tell him I'll be waiting on her throne, since she's been the queen for roughly thirty centuries now." He gestured at Mallia, and raised his glass to drink more of it again.
She was losing it at that, laughing. "But I-- You can't just--!"
"I just did," he said, peeking over his glass, his smile teasingly smug. Quieter, to Harry. "Didn't I?"
