"And even if they aren't directly sealed off there's probably worlds or versions of worlds that every weird interdimensional thing isn't connected to at any given time for different reasons." At least he assumed so. Really the whole thing, like time travel, tended to give him a headache if he tried to wrap his brain around it.

The other question though, just left him confused. "What power? You mean like gods or cosmic forces or whatever? The answer you got there'd probably depends on you you ask, but if I had to guess, some combination of magic and scientific forces. Though I doubt anybody here knows for sure, even the locals; kinda hard to keep records of the beginning of your world, after all."
