The Rain Rain Rain Came Down Down Down

Just over a week after the Isle visit people would find themselves drawn outside. The reason might vary, it was a lovely day and the air had the sweet scent of spring. It was the first truly warm day, and perhaps that was it. But for whatever reason everyone, or nearly everyone, found themselves outside and then drifted peacefully off to sleep.

As they slept a gentle rain came down upon them, soft enough to wake only those in a cursed sleep. The water not only broke dark spells and curses on the people the rain touched but for some people it brought a very different sort of transformation.

A number of the Missrecalled might find themselves awakening older than they had been when they fell asleep. Some of them might awaken with all their older self's memories, or maybe those would come with time, or maybe the memories would need more help to return. But when everyone awoke with a light dew on their faces and clothes, some people would be in for quite the surprise....

After the odd outdoor nap, many might wish to head into their rooms to get changed and freshen up. Or maybe they wouldn't go back to their room for a while, but when they did they would find a gift on their beds waiting for them....

The Rain Rain Rain Came Down Down Down Aqua loved the scent in the air that came with each change of the seasons. She headed outside happily to take it all in as she jogged. But eventually she found herself tiring. She stretched so she wouldn't stiffen up, then found a tree to sit against. She closed her eyes to meditate, and then...

She hadn't fallen asleep during meditation in years. And yet she fell asleep. She awoke lightly bedewed some time later, bemused at herself even as she yawned. "I wonder if this is how Snow White felt..."

Aqua came outside again soon after she found her gift. She wanted to see what it would do. So she could be found later that day attaching a new charm to her Keyblade. As soon as she did, however, her outfit changed and she was in a ballgown with a wide skirt - pants under it. She blinked looking down at herself. "I am not sure which I am more curious about," she said out loud, smiling a bit, quite amused, "why my clothing changed... or how I am supposed to fight in this..." She smiled at whoever was nearby. "I suppose I should just be thankful this one doesn't talk." She held out her sparkling blue Keyblade, watching the glitter languidly drift down from it.

Harry was just in the middle of looking after Hedwig and Rose, petting and feeding them, when he witnessed Aqua’s clothes changing into the ballgown thanks to the new charm. To say the he was surprised to see it happening in front of his eyes would put things very lightly. Rose squeaks in a worrisome tone while Hedwig is in a loss for hoots. Both animals are just that confused.

And it was at this moment that Harry finally gets to speak up to break up the silence as he takes a look at the Keyblade and Aqua’s ballgown, “Well that is quite the outfit change. Wasn’t expecting a Keyblade charm to do something like it until now.”

"Neither was I," she admitted, bemused.

“Yes indeed. I got to admit, today has been quite interesting so far. I mean, I did received a Halloween costume from my time in the Isle of Avalon and I was shocked that it managed to arrive in my room,” Harry speaks up.

"Sounds like the magic is giving us all clothing then, for some reason."

“Agreed. I was also wondering about the reason why it decides to give us clothing as gifts this time around.”

Roses squeaks the same thing, remembering about how her and Hedwig’s reactions towards the costume showing up in the room as well.

"No clue," she said. "But I suppose it is better than some other things the magic has done. And we could all use more clothing here."

“Yeah, it is very much possible that we could use more clothing on hand,” Harry nods in agreement, “I was worried that the clothes I had in my backpack when I arrived from Avalon won’t be enough to last through our time in Auradon.”

Rose and Hedwig also nod in unison as a response with squeaks and hoots.

"Well, if this outfit persists but I can get my usual clothing back, I may offer this to Gabriel to make it into something useful for someone else. I am not sure I want to try training in a full ballgown."

“Yes, that ballgown is going to be a hazard during training,” Harry begins to think about how tough it can be for anyone to train in a long dress.

Even though he never has experience wearing one as far as he can remember, he too acknowledges the problems a ballgown might have on training sessions especially when there are moves and weapons being involved.

“I also have this concern about the cloak in my Halloween costume being not of any help in fighting or training as well. The length of it will probably make difficult for me to move around during quests or rough situations. Not to mention the hood partially blocking my line of sight. I don’t even recall anyone in my world or in Avalon wanting to fight in ballgowns or long cloaks on a frequent basis.”

"At least they both have a fair amount of material, if we do not have sentimental attachment to them."

“I agree: Plenty of them enough to repurpose into other clothing when we need more fabric.”

"Yes. I plan to speak to Gabriel if this is removable and useful for anyone else."

Sephiroth was about to comment on the outfit, but that remark earned a stare. "... You've encountered talking clothing?" Even with all the magic he had seen, that was a new one on him.

"Oh praise the light no!" she said, startled. "A talking charm for my Keyblade. It has good power and I like it in general, but it constantly gives questionable tidbits about space that it tries to pass off as facts."

Sephiroth smirked. “That sounds odd as well. But possibly amusing.”

"It is that," she said with a chuckle.

“The new outfit is quite becoming on you,” he remarked now. He could be very charming.

"I thank you, though I disagree." She gave him a warm smile.

“Is it something from home?” he wondered. “I ask because I found something in my room from home.”

"It isn't," she said shaking her head. "But I know Harry got something from a world he was in before this. Was yours also clothing or clothing related?" she asked, curious.
