After a moment he spoke again, his tone more thoughtful. "Garfield and I really do need to sit down and figure out what we are to each other," he said. "Whatever my personal opinions of the man, I can't presume to step into the role of his father without him being on board with the idea, but that leaves things... ambiguous at best.
