Ah... He'd gotten so used to the easy flow of conversation with the guys, he'd forgotten exactly how painful it could be trying to talk to a stranger. He let the last little bit of their walk pass in uncomfortable silence, wings folded as flat against his back as he could manage, posture starting to mirror that of the his smaller companion's.
When she stopped by the door, he looked at it a moment before sighing, long and tired. "Thank you." A bit more of a mumble than he'd intended, he hoped she still heard, he was uncomfortable, but that didn't mean he was going to be rude about it.
